There are a lot of great Restaurants nearby that have Bars, but this is the best Bar on Castro. There is a large community of fun, nice regulars, with a good mix of those in, and outside of the Tech Crowd.
The seats are not new, but that's a good thing: you know that they care about pouring drinks and taking care of customers, not trying to draw in fleeting 'trendy,' drinkers (Steins takes care of this crowd just fine).
